Lots to See on a Wilderness Travel in Tanzania

Tanzania has so much wild country it is little wonder that more land here than in any other African country is devoted to wildlife and wildlife conservation efforts. The ultimate wilderness travel experience must be a taste of Tanzania.

Of course the Kilimanjaro. One of the main reasons visitors come to this beautiful country is to climb Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa at 5895m high.

See the wildlife in game sanctuaries so vast that some are still virtually unspoiled. The whole range of Africa wildlife is there to see as they interact in their natural habitat.

The Serengeti is world famous for its unique eco-system, for the great Serengeti-Maasai Mara wildebeest migration among other attractions. It is also the world's most famous game reserve with a research center for ecological conservation.

The Mahale Game Park is on the shores of Lake Tanganyika. Here you will find the world's largest concentration of chimpanzees.

The coast on the shores of the Indian Ocean has also much to see. Zanzibar island and the surrounding islands are home to a very rich cultural mix dating back many years to the days of the slave trade and the spice trade. The Swahili Arab influence can be seen in the Stone City of Zanzibar.

What to do
