Selecting the proper bathroom vanity for your style

By Leon A. Zidan

When coming up with a different theme for your bathroom, there is a possibility that you didn't even consider purchasing a new vanity. There are older houses that have a piece of glass up as their mirror but now a bathroom has a framed vanity mirror. The mirror that is above the sink is a crucial piece in your bathroom because it can be changed out regularly when the other types of bathroom fixtures are permanent due to the way the piping is laid out.

Believe it or not, the bathroom vanity that you choose is going to say a lot about your decorating style and the overall feel of your bathroom. This is because it is not only the one large item you have complete control over, but because it is at the same eye level of most of your adult guests. Thus, they are going to see the mirror in more detail than any other area of your home.

The bathroom vanity is going to be the element of your bathroom that will present the type of style you have and going to speak to your guests when they enter the room. Most toilets are the same so it sure isn't the special item in the room. With all the various types of vanities that are out on the market, it is going to be easy to make your bathroom widely known.

The basic public bathroom uses just a piece of mirror with some brackets to fasten it to the wall over their bathroom vanity. The mirror gets the job done without spending a large amount of money. In your home bathroom you want your guests to feel comfortable unlike a public one. To make it inviting you need to make sure everyone's needs are met by installing a new bathroom vanity mirror so your guests can check out their reflection before exiting the room.

After figuring out which style you want to lean towards with your bathroom vanity, you will have many choices to make. For that warm feeling in your bathroom, you will need to find the right earthy tone. When painting your bathroom walls with a nice ivory tone, it may be difficult deciding which accent color to use. Using some type of stunning color such as a red or green against the ivory would be great. If you want to add a more natural feel to your restroom a wooden vanity and framed mirror would be the right choice.

To complete your bathroom you need a flooring style that will compliment the overall design. A hardwood floor that matches the tone of the bathroom vanity can set the right mood in your restroom. Be sure that you find a wood floor style that coordinates well with the rest of the bathroom and it may even match the counter top.

Before purchasing a bathroom vanity make sure that it fits the theme that you are applying to your bathroom. If you are going for a warm and comfortable feel, you may want to add a wood framed mirror. Or if you are going for a sleek theme, you could add a gold or silver framed vanity mirror. - 16752
