Colorado Snow and More

By Qandishah Brown

If you enjoy snow sports then there is definitely one state that is for you. Colorado is located in the rocky mountain areas and only about half of this state is flat. This plus its climate gives you the perfect set up for all those winter sports that you love doing. Among the things that you can find yourself doing in Colorado will of course include skiing and snowboarding.

Different areas in Colorado receive different amounts of snowfall but it averages at least a hundred; and even more for some areas. This plus about three hundred days of sunshine and the most skiable terrain provides for nothing but fun. Of course some of the most popular sports will include your classic downhill ski but you can all three types of cross country skiing.

There are about twenty six ski areas to choose from which also means that you do not have to limit yourself to skiing alone. Snowboarding can be done which is most popular among the younger generation but enjoyed by many adults as well. There is also dog sledding which can be fun for those people who love animals and the snow as well.

Other than the many snow sports you surely can't miss the festivals and shows that happen in Colorado. These can range from carnivals that will help you have a blast partying down to craft shows and fairs. Craft shows and fairs can be the perfect place for you to find that one of a kind keepsake that will remind you of your trip. You can also find things to bring back for family and friends here.

If your interest for these craft fairs goes beyond shopping, then you will still find a place for you in Colorado fairs. It's normal for both residents and non residents to take part in such things. It will be a good chance for you to let your creativity flow and share with others what you do best .Aside from watching others enjoy your creations you will also be making some extra money on the side. - 16752
